Christ The Good Shepherd Church Incorporated ("we", "us" or "our") provides the CTGS Church mobile application (the "Application"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Application accesses, collects, uses, stores and shares information, and the choices available to you.
The Application is provided by:
Christ The Good Shepherd Church Incorporated
32 Box Road, Wakeley NSW 2176, Australia
The Application does not require you to create an account and does not request your name, email address or telephone number during normal use.
If you voluntarily submit a support request, feedback form or survey, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, feedback, support message and any other information included in your submission. We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported issues and improve the Application.
If you use a donation page or another external website opened through the Application, information you provide on that page is collected by the operator of that website under its own privacy policy. We do not collect or store payment card or banking information through the Application.
We use analytics and diagnostic services to understand how the Application is used, maintain its reliability and improve its features. Depending on your device and how you use the Application, information collected automatically may include:
We do not use analytics information for advertising. The Application does not use session replay or screen recording.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell personal information or sensitive user data. We do not share information for targeted advertising.
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
We use PostHog for product analytics, error monitoring, logs and hosted support or feedback surveys. Depending on how you use the Application, PostHog may process usage events, screens visited, interactions, session duration, Application and device information, analytics identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, diagnostic information and information you voluntarily submit through a support or feedback form.
We do not use PostHog Session Replay or screen recording. Information processed through PostHog is used for analytics, troubleshooting, responding to feedback and improving the Application, not for advertising.
PostHog's privacy policy is available at https://posthog.com/privacy.
We use Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, to understand Application usage and feature engagement. Firebase Analytics may process app-instance or installation identifiers, Application version, device and operating-system information, usage events and approximate location information. We use this information for analytics and improvement, not for advertising.
Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and information about Firebase privacy and security is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
The Application displays or links to sermons, videos and other content provided through YouTube. When you play or interact with YouTube content, Google or YouTube may receive technical and usage information in accordance with Google's privacy policy. YouTube content and services are governed by Google's privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The Application may also open donation, support or other external web pages. Those services may collect information directly from you and are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy shown on any external service before providing personal or payment information.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing support, analysing and improving the Application, maintaining security and complying with legal obligations.
Analytics and diagnostic information is generally retained for up to 24 months, unless it is deleted or anonymised sooner. Support and feedback information is generally retained for up to 24 months after the relevant request has been resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably required for legal, security or record-keeping purposes.
Information processed by a service provider may also remain in that provider's systems or backups for a limited period in accordance with its retention and deletion procedures. Aggregated or anonymised information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained for longer for statistical and service-improvement purposes.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.
The Application does not provide user accounts. You may contact us at [email protected] to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with you.
Because analytics information may be associated with an app-installation or analytics identifier rather than your name, we may ask you for information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records. We may retain information where required by law, for security or legal claims, or where it has been anonymised and can no longer reasonably be associated with you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. Information transmitted between the Application and our service providers is protected in transit using secure encrypted connections such as HTTPS, and access is limited to authorised persons who require it for legitimate operational purposes.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards apply to those transfers and that information is handled consistently with this Privacy Policy.
The Application is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected a child's personal information without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
You can choose not to submit optional support, survey or feedback information. You may also limit certain device-level data collection through your device settings where those controls are available. Restricting some information may affect our ability to investigate a support request or diagnose a technical issue.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, Application features or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated policy and revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
